Bupa Egypt — Phase 1 & Phase 2
District 5's architectural guidelines strictly prohibit rooftop HVAC equipment, and the only available installation space at Bupa Egypt's building was a narrow side ledge sized for standard split systems — far too shallow for a conventional top-discharge VRF. ERATEC specified Hitachi's SideSmart™ system to meet the full cooling load from that constrained footprint, across both project phases.

The Engineering Challenge
- District 5 (Marakez) architectural guidelines strictly prohibit mounting outdoor HVAC equipment on building rooftops to preserve aesthetic sightlines.
- Available installation zones were restricted to narrow side ledges behind external louvers, originally sized only for standard split/DX equipment.
- Conventional top-discharge VRF or standard DX systems could not fit within the tight side-louver depth while delivering the required cooling capacity.
